Frequently Asked Questions

If you don’t find the answer to your question below please reach out.

Who do you work with?

Individual adults in all life phases.

Do you take insurance?

I both take insurance and work with clients that are out of network.

Here is a list of in-network insurances:

Blue Cross

First Choice Health | FCH

Kaiser PPO

LifeWise

PacificSource

Premera Blue Cross

Spring Health (EAP)

Out of Network:

You have two options for out of network. The first option is paying the bill in full, and I will provide you with a Super Bill that you can submit to your insurance company for possible partial reimbursement. The other option is paying out of pocket without using your insurance. If the fee is out of reach, please reach out and we will work together on making a plan that works. (See the FAQ: How does paying out-of-pocket work?)
Please ask me about all of this when we talk so we can find a plan that will work for you.

I’m happy to talk about how this would work.

What are your fees?

$170 for 55 minute session.

How long are your sessions?

55 minutes.

Virtual or in-person?

I primarily see people virtually. I have limited availability for in-person visits in Kirkland, WA.

What is your cancellation policy?

You must cancel your appointment a minimum of 48 hours in advance or you will be charged a $100 late cancel fee. Please feel free to reach out if you have extenuating circumstances which prohibit you from being able to cancel in that timeframe and I will do my best to honor and support that.

How does paying out-of-pocket work?

If you chose to pay out of pocket for your therapy sessions, I will send you a required Good Faith Estimate that will explain what you can expect payment to be going forward and the maximum amount you can be charged.

I will provide a Super Bill that you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Reimbursement is at the sole discretion of the insurance provider.

How often should I come to therapy?

To start, I recommend coming weekly ideally or at least every other week. This will give us the opportunity to get to know one another, for me to get a good grasp on what you need and want. From here we will look at a projected plan for moving forward. Connection and safety in the therapeutic relationship are foundational to good work going forward.

How long can I expect to be in therapy?

This is, mostly, an impossible question to answer without more information. Ultimately, it is up to you. I can tell you that we will work together to identify your goals for therapy, where we want to start and next steps. We can take on a lot or a little. Therapy mostly leads itself as we explore and unpack what is here in the present day and what may be deeply rooted in history. For some, they want to do it all. For others, they want to work on one piece at a time. Either approach is fine. I will advise you and be your guide, but also follow your lead. Taking breaks from therapy here and there can be very helpful. It will evolve over time and I will always honor what you want.
