My Therapy & Approach
Stress / Life Challenges
I’m out with lanterns, looking for myself. –Emily Dickinson
Life can sometimes feel like a constant state of change—always evolving, adapting, trying to keep up. When everything keeps moving, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and wonder if you’ll ever find solid ground.
Let’s slow things down and take a closer look at what’s really going on for you. Together, we’ll explore what truly matters, what you need, and where you want to go from here. The world will always have opinions about what you should do, but your path deserves space and clarity.
As we quiet the noise and calm your system, we’ll begin untangling the messages in your mind and find a way forward that feels more grounded, intentional, and truly yours.
Anxiety
“Talk to yourself in a way that is kind and nurturing, because you are listening.” -Kobi Yamada
Anxiety is everywhere, and the truth is—it doesn’t completely go away. But it can be reduced, managed, and stop interrupting your life. At its core, anxiety is your brain trying to protect you—even when it gets a little loud or overreacts.
Together, we can soften the frantic edges, turn down the volume, and help you find more peace and steadiness within yourself. You are not alone in this, and your brain is capable of learning new ways to respond.
With patience, compassion, and support, change is possible—and I will be right beside you as you move through it. You’ve got this.
Trauma
“Hope is like a bird that senses dawn and carefully starts to sing while it is still dark.” -Tia Louse
Trauma is a big word, and even saying it can feel overwhelming. The truth is, trauma doesn’t fit into a single mold. It shows up differently for everyone and often lives quietly in the body long after the experience has passed. What matters most is learning to meet yourself with compassion as you begin to understand its impact.
Together, we’ll gently explore what is showing up for you, how it affects your daily life, and how to create a greater sense of safety. With curiosity and kindness, we’ll begin to understand your responses and build self-compassion. When trust and safety are in place, we can begin using supportive techniques to help you move toward healing—at a pace that feels right for you.
